Buttercups

During a holiday in France I was resting in a meadow. I started playing around with my videocamera. I put it at macro recording and filmed the buttercups. Half a year later it became a very useful tape. I combined these flowers with different landscapes. The flowers became a separate layer in most of the paintings. This way I could create a special kind of depth. This is quite clear in the triptych. In other versions it's as if the flowers come out of the scene, as if the landscape is scattered into little pieces. In the later versions the white areas become more and more prominent.
